ooVoo™ enables everyone to have face-to-face video calls over the Internet. It's the closest thing to being there with your family, friends and people you meet with. All you need is a computer with a headset (or microphone and speakers) connected to the Internet. Obviously it's a good idea to have a web camera, but if you don't have one yet, you can still see the other participants in the video call. The video and audio is of superb quality and only requires a standard broadband Internet connection (such as DSL or cable). You can also call landline and cell phones from ooVoo (see the different phone plans). The application is easy to use and enables you to participate in an ooVoo call using ooVoo or to join a video call from your browser, send ooVoo video messages, chat with friends and share files.

The following shows an example of an ooVoo video call with two participants using video and two using telephones.

ooVoo is a software that will fascinate you, this free application provides video conferencing for up to five users, as well as a video messaging tool, files and text messages can be sent while holding a video conference. Video messages can be sent via email to friends that have not signed up for the service. It looks like ooVoo is going after the Skype users, especially since ooVoo also have a store where you can buy peripheral items for video chat. While you can’t conduct a VoIP call with ooVoo, they’re probably banking on the future of video chat. They’re good to offer a link for ooVoo registration directly from their widget as well, making it easy enough to get started.
